The importance if integrating intelligence in products has been growing tremendously.
In the SMART PRODUCTS LAB we want to help companies and organizations with the integration of a meaningful use of IoT technology in a tangible product that has a commercial value and is producible.
Different (research)projects aim on supporting companies to make the right decisions in the design process. By focusing mainly on the user, concepts will be designed for latent needs that require IOT technologies instead of being based on a technology driven design approach.
IDC also indorses the importance of an efficient and realistic translation from prototypes towards a first (small) series production.
